The site includes thousands of images of antique inventions, Victorian fashion, 19th century advertisements, children book illustrations, maps, and even cake recipes.
Our acquaintace began with my visit to her site, searching for images for a blog managed by one of my pupils on inventors and inventions. Here we have found a veritable goldmine of results: early bicycles and women’s attire for riding them; antique washing machines; and whatnot.
After a while I have contacted her with little suggestions for improvements, and instructions on how to make them herself. Then, in spring 2015, after Google have come out with their announcement on no promoting site which were no mobile friendly, we spoke again, and Julie has expressed her wish to upgrade her blog. While we were at it, we also redesigned it completely, working together on the new look.
Julie sells some of the high resolution pictures she makes.
